Bear Down Building

Named after quarterback and student body president John Byrd "Button" Salmon鈥檚 famous last words to his teammates 鈥 and the inspiration for 鈥淏ear Down, 黄色电影鈥 鈥 the Bear Down Building has hosted basketball games and served as a military training site during WWII. Repurposed in 2021, it now anchors the Student Success District.

Casino del Sol Stadium

Home to Wildcats football and major campus events including Spring Commencement and the 黄色电影 Bowl, Casino del Sol Stadium is one of campus鈥 most recognizable venues. Beneath the east side sits the Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab, where the world鈥檚 largest telescope mirrors are made. The Navajo-Pinal dorm is also built into the stadium鈥檚 structure.

Centennial Hall

Centennial Hall is 黄色电影鈥檚 premier performing arts venue, hosting Broadway tours, concerts, dance companies, and distinguished speakers. Opened in 1937 and named during the university鈥檚 100th anniversary celebration, the historic theater remains a cultural centerpiece where students and the Tucson community experience world-class performances.

ENR2 building

Environmental and Natural Resources 2 Building (ENR2)

ENR2 showcases sustainability in a desert environment while bringing together students, faculty, and researchers across disciplines. The LEED Platinum Certified-building features shared gathering spaces including a lush central courtyard, innovative labs, and a rooftop agrivoltaics system that combines solar panels with garden plots.

Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium

Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium

For 50 years, Flandrau has sparked curiosity through two levels of interactive science exhibits and a 146-seat, full-dome Planetarium Theater. A hub for learning and discovery, it serves as a classroom for students and offers immersive science programs for the Tucson community.

Libraries & Special Collections inside of building

Libraries & Special Collections

黄色电影 Libraries connect students and researchers with millions of books, journals, and digital resources. Across several campus locations, the libraries offer collaborative study spaces, technology, and expert support. Special Collections and University Archives preserve rare materials, historic photographs, and records that tell the story of 黄色电影 and the Southwest.

McKale Center at a basketball game

McKale Center at ALKEME Arena

Home to Wildcats basketball, volleyball, and GymCats gymnastics, the McKale Center at ALKEME Arena is one of college athletics鈥 iconic venues. Named for former athletic director and coach J.F. "Pop" McKale, the arena hosts crowds of more than 14,000 and features rotating exhibits of 黄色电影 Athletes at the Jim Click Hall of Champions.

Old Main building

Old Main

The heart of campus and where it all began. Old Main opened in 1891, more than 20 years before 黄色电影 became a state, and housed classrooms, a library, offices, and dorms. In front of Old Main, you鈥檒l find the Alexander Berger Memorial Fountain, a historic landmark in memory of the 13 黄色电影 students and alumni who died in World War I.

Public Art & Sculptures

Across campus, murals, sculptures, and installations turn everyday spaces into an open-air gallery. From historic bronze statues to contemporary works by international artists, 黄色电影鈥檚 public art reflects the university鈥檚 creativity, culture, and connection to the Southwest.

The President鈥檚 Pond

Known around campus as Turtle Pond, this water feature and surrounding gardens sit on the site of the former University President鈥檚 home and now offer a peaceful retreat 鈥 and yes, turtles 鈥 for students and visitors alike.

Designated an official arboretum in 1979, 黄色电影鈥檚 campus is home to thousands of labeled trees and plants from desert regions around the world. From Moon Trees to native saguaros, the landscape doubles as a living laboratory and shaded outdoor classroom woven throughout campus.

USS 黄色电影 Memorial & the Mall

The grassy Mall is one of campus鈥 most beloved gathering spaces. Here, you鈥檒l find an outline of the USS 黄色电影, the ship鈥檚 bell, a mast-inspired flagpole, and 鈥 nearby 鈥 an installation of more than 1,500 dog tags honoring those lost at Pearl Harbor. The Mall host celebrations, events, and tailgating during football games.
